ambient

i have not heard better ambient music.wonderful on a brooding train journey.and dreaming of pale bleak lands and dry reeds or enormous castles  while you are surrounded by the smell of piss and shit!!

Dear Kierkegaard

An idea maybe great , untouchable in its reasoning but its quite another thing to  stay with it for years and years.A man cannot be personification of an idea. Abraham had only 3.5 days to go.Just imagine if he had to travel for years with it and then I would like to see how well he sustained his faith.
The point is not how pure one's faith is..the point is how long can one sustain it in  living with common folks and being bombarded with too much information each day.
Every idea is limited by one's body.
I bow down to great Abraham in reverence but sorry Kierkegaard yours idea of faith is just not human and all your text seemed proud of that only.
(Camus is much more human)

if u have played nfs underground u will kno that u cud roam through the city freely in career mode.
i used to feel that  that was the best part of it.. running away from the lights..the city..
and everything was so perfect....like if u cud runaway to the mountains , the mountains would also be that beautiful

gorillaz amarillo kind of reminded me of that imagery

the mountains are waiting
the full moon has come

i got lost in the highways
but dont ask me where i been
or what i have done

From On the Sunday of Life

Bring your love baby I can bring my shame
Bring the drugs baby I can bring my pain
I got my heart right here, I got my scars right here
Bring the cups baby I can bring the drink
Bring your body baby I can bring you fame

A Single Man

Two scenes from A Single man..the movie is a bore with occasional intelligence...and high style..quite obviously since being directed by a fashion industry man(Tom Ford)...the architecture and the way Colin Firth looks is mind boggling ..

the ending music with that poem is very well done(the 2nd scene)....especially the music
the first scene is not very important...except for that boy...who has got some eyes and a smile..
which seem familiar

the social network

yes ..i liked it..liked it a lot....

shows the epicenter of the present day college culture....
"two hours of coding..and a two hour nap"
but here in India mostly u find the wanna bes telling stories about "Victoria's secrets....."
in some review i had read the social network represents " the madness of the decade"......
must be an old crook who wrote that....
but madness ..yes...madness and acceleration...
the ambition and jealousy ...
a generation which believes" impossible is nothing"

Inception..bla bla bla

now nolan was never artsy...he was clever ..original.....but inception.....its not even clever.....one thing i want to make clear is that some thing seems clever/intelligent when that thing simplifies (or poses some fundamental questions) about the world as we know it....its not like u create a whole new set of rules ...new games for yourself ...and say "see how good i am at this game"..thats the problem with inception.....such permutation and combination....can be done by anybody.....and u have to accept them cause he is the maker of the game....

memento and prestige(with that tesla replica compromise) were truly original.....dark knight was a overlong headache(what the hell point the clown in the suit was trying to make?).....
now inception......sucks.....

watch his short "doodlebug" and more at shortsbay.com/.....

a poem ..a song and a movie

1
to end in a good-bye has been the norm
and it seems it will take a crime
to change this rhyme

2
from the flaming lips' "ego tripping at the gates of hell"

I was waiting on a moment
But the moment never came
All the billion other moments
Were just slipping all away

I was wanting you to love me
But your love it never came
All the other love around me
Was just wasting all away

3.

One day as a lion

just listened to "One day as a lion"(a side project of RATM frontman Zack de la rocha and some drummer from some band i dont know).....lemme say what i like....i like those who ...sing in style...attitude...aggressiveness.......listen to the track "one day as a lion"...especially its ending......its not about aggression only.....not about revolution only....its a celebration..the joy of expressing..exactly....your view of symmetry...
